the situation of refugees on the Greek islands is getting worse every day. We all know the horrendous conditions ipeople have to live to in and around the camps. There is no protection from violence, illness, and psychological and physical distress.
The European Union has focused solely on armed border security. The Federal Government of Germany, like some other states, make statements of intent to bring up to 1,500 vulnerable children out of the camps.
Nobody knows when. Nobody knows who. Nobody knows how.

There is another way.

Mission Lifeline e.V. started the mission “Charter flight Lesbos-Berlin for children and mothers” for initially 50 to 100 people. Financing has already been secured, work is being carried out on site in Lesbos to prepare the passenger list, strictly considering acuteness. What is missing are only the necessary permits from the Federal Foreign Office and the Federal Ministry of the Interior.
I urge you to immediately publicly and emphatically campaign to obtain take-off and landing permit for the evacuation flight. Ask the ministries to act. Now!
